In recent days I have observed several situations (direct or indirect) where the interpretation of certain situations and the real objective causes of the facts were almost the opposite.
I was keen to remember a beautiful formula from Don Miguel Ruiz (The Four Agreements) that is good to remember:
“Do not make assumptions.”
This month I invite us to observe all the situations where we interpret a behavior, a remark from others and to remember this sentence at the moment when we are about to react to the situation. I am convinced that this will help to smooth out and soothe a certain number of tensions and frustrations.
NB. Looking for pictures this month, I found it funny to choose one showing the Pont d'Avignon. Indeed, between what we imagine when we hear about the "Pont d'Avignon" and the reality when we visit it, there is a certain difference:-)
This is a good example of not making assumptions until you see it!
